Frequently Asked Questions
Will my child be safe and healthy?
At Soul Blossom Child Care Center, we’re here to ensure your child feels safe, secure, and right at home. We take every detail to heart, from our cozy, secure wing within the SPRD Community Center to the extra layers of safety like coded locks on all doors and security cameras in every child care room. Each day starts with health screenings and follows through with nurturing routines, nutritious meals, and close attention to your child’s well-being. Our loving caregivers are dedicated to creating a warm environment where your child can thrive, and where you can feel confident they’re in safe, caring hands.
Will the same program staff take care of my child regularly?
Our dedicated core team, including our Director, Ms. April, and Assistant Director, Mr. Chris, is on-site every day, caring for and guiding our children with love and consistency. As a growing center, we may see some staff changes as we work toward building our lasting family of caregivers. Through it all, our commitment to your child’s well-being remains our top priority.
Is there a family handbook explaining the policies (such as guidance and discipline)?

Are healthy meals and snacks provided?
Yes, we provide nutritious meals and snacks every day! Our team prepares delicious, wholesome snacks right in our commercial kitchen, using fresh, organic ingredients—and whenever possible, we source them locally. We love offering seasonal treats like homemade soups, fruit salads, freshly baked bread, and hearty grain-based snacks with vibrant veggies. Every meal is thoughtfully balanced with carbohydrates, protein, and vegetables to keep your child energized and growing strong. And, as a special treat, we serve fresh fruit once a week during the summer!
How many children are cared for daily in the program?
Our capacity currently 18 children.
Will my child’s development be supported?
Absolutely! Your child’s development is our priority, and our educators bring a wealth of experience from both child care and public school environments. Our team includes professionals with degrees in Family Studies and Master’s in Teaching, as well as specializations in music and science. We’re here to nurture your child’s growth with expertise and a whole-child approach, supporting every milestone along the way.
Is there a daily routine and planned activities?
Yes, we have a thoughtful daily, weekly, and seasonal rhythm that creates a comforting routine for the children. Each day is carefully planned with engaging activities that flow naturally, giving your child a sense of security and excitement for what’s next. We’re here to make each day feel familiar yet filled with new discoveries that grow along with the seasons.
How will my child’s home language and culture be supported?
We’re dedicated to honoring your child’s home language and culture. During our Home Visits, our lead staff take the time to get to know your family’s unique values and traditions. We then bring this understanding into the classroom, creating an environment that genuinely reflects and celebrates what’s important to your family.
Are TV, computer, and other screen times limited?
