After School Elementary

After a full school day, children deserve a place to breathe, explore, and create. Our afterschool program offers just that—a balance of outdoor adventures, soothing musical moments, and hands-on artistic expression. Children arrive via the Sisters School District bus route to Timber Creek, where our staff meets them at the bus stop and walks them to their classrooms. Each day, they dive into movement and art activities led by professional musician Mr. Chris, whose creativity and warmth make every session special. With watercolor painting, clay modeling, wax sculpting, and mixed media art, kids have endless ways to bring their ideas to life.

This thoughtful mix of movement, creativity, and calm helps children transition from a busy school day into a space of joy, discovery, and connection.

Through our partnership with Seed to Table, children experience four seasonal field trips that bring organic farming to life. They’ll witness the magic of growing food, from seed to harvest, as they dig, plant, and explore nature’s rhythms firsthand. The learning doesn’t stop there—they’ll bring their discoveries back to our vibrant garden, tending to plants in our 860-square-foot greenhouse and six outdoor raised-bed gardens. It’s an enriching way to cultivate wonder, stewardship, and hands-on learning.

At Soul Blossom, we embrace the natural rhythms of childhood, infusing music and art into each day. Through free play, form drawing, watercolor painting, clay and wax modeling, and handwork, children engage in experiences that nurture both creativity and confidence.
